Here's our girl :)

62 staples, 12 inches,  and a pretty smile apparently are all side affects of brain surgery. She's recovering well and actually slept through the night last night! It might just be her lamby but I like to think we're helping her smile too :) She's doing great. She got up and we helped her walk around the room for the first time last night and just today she walked a few feet to switch beds to get her post-op MRI. Doctors say she's doing excellent and is still scheduled to get out of this place tomorrow. Our flights home are still planned for Wednesday.

Thanks for all your nice posts. When she's not sleeping we read her what everybody's saying and she gets this cheesy grin on her face. We love it, so thank you.

There's our Tara!!! Soo happy to see you smiling. Don't worry about the scar, it will, over time, become a badge of what you went through. Wear it well! I'm glad to hear that you did not fall down changing beds...see...better already. Ha ha. Let me know when you get home. When you are able I need to come and give you a big hug. Until then I'll just give you a mental hug. Thinking of you always,( my work child ). Brice and Cat say hello and have been sending many good thoughts your way as well. Let me know when I am able to start helping you. I will come over and quiz you on dental stuff...that'll cheer ya up. LOL
Love ya Sweetie

YIKES! That is nasty looking!!! I am so impressed with the nice neat strip of scalp that can be covered up so easily with all the rest of your beautiful hair. You have a very considerate Doc! I am so glad to hear your happy, positive, self. You are not called happy schlappi for nothing! We think of you every day and are so grateful for this blog to keep updated. Laura will be there to visit when you get home. I'm staying in Utah for a week or so to help my mom. I'll see you when I get home! Love Lynette

Wow, 62 staples?!?! That's crazy! Abigail just had stitches on her incision, and they did a zig zag cut so the hair would look more natural when it grew back, so there wouldn't be a noticeable line. But hers is side to side, not front to back, so maybe they do things different depending on the cut.
